an envelope to store the addition cards.

set of Factually Speaking.

Problems 0-5. I print this off, laminate it and place at the
Math Station for students to self-check. Students can also
use this page when building the addition table with the
Factually Speaking addition cards.

Problems 6-12. Again, I print this off, laminate it and
place at the Math Station for students to self-check. Students use this page to continue building the addition table with the Factually Speaking cards all the way to 12.

Ta-da completed building the Factually Speaking Addition Facts 0-12 Table - minus the vegemite sandwich headings we forgot! Once students have completed building the addition table, I begin questioning. What patterns do you see? Vertically? Horizontally? What if anything stands out to you or surprises you? How can this help you in memorizing the addition facts?
*BODY BRAIN COMPATIBLE -IT GETS KIDS OUT OF THEIR SEATS WORKING TO PUT THE ADDITION TABLE TOGETHER
*IT IS DESIGNED THAT STUDENTS CAN WORK INDEPENDENTLY OR COOPERATIVELY - AS THEY WORK TO PUT THE ADDITION TABLE TOGETHER THEY ARE "SPEAKING" ABOUT THE MATH FACTS - SO THAT IS WHERE THE NAME "FACTUALLY SPEAKING" CAME FROM
*SINCE ALL FACTUALLY SPEAKING ARE THEME-BASED STUDENTS WILL BE IMMERSED IN INTEGRATION ACROSS THE CURRICULUM -WHILE STUDYING AUSTRALIA (OR OTHER TOPICS) STUDENTS WILL BE EXPOSED TO THE SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM DURING THEIR MATH BLOCK - IN THE AUSTRALIA FACT CARDS STUDENTS WILL BE SEEING THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AS WELL AS KOALAS THAT ARE MARSUPIALS AND THE MAP OF AUSTRALIA'S SHAPE
