WHY USE READ AND WRITE AROUND THE ROOM?
As teachers we can get students up and moving which will maximize student’s neurogenesis. Research has found that the hippocampus creates new neurons after exercise. Eric Jensen wrote in his book Teaching with the Brain in Mind – “We have discovered that exercise is strongly correlated with increased brain mass, better cognition, mood regulation, and new cell growth.”
